What are some cheap but quality goggles?

I'd highly recommend Getting pair of Leatt Velocity 6.5 Goggles. I've had mine for years and they're awesome. Anti Fog is great and still works after years.

Any of the big name brand goggles are pretty good at their respective price points. 100%, Scott, Oakley, etc. are all good. Just pick the features and fit you like.

I always buy the most basic level Scott goggles and when they are on clearance. I pay $20 or $25 per pair. 
I did pay $18 for a pair of FMF goggles on sale. Only one colorway was available at that price so I guess no one wanted them.

Do you have a local bike shop that you can go to with your helmet and try some googles with the helmet on and feel what works?

This times 78! Have been using the basic Scott models since the 70s with zero issues. I have found the flexible frames fit/seal better. Usually less then $20 from Rocky Mtn on closeout.

Same. And I think the Scott lenses are more scratch resistant than 100% and Oakley. They’re my favorite goggles.

I've had good success with the Oakley O frame.  You can usually find good deals on them.

 I have been using the $18 VSN 2.0 Goggle from Rocky Mountain MC. Peripheral vision is good and if you wear glasses, they will fit inside the frame. Replacement lens are pretty inexpensive as well.

Great goggles for someone that doesn't want to spend a lot. 100% Strata are $25 and good as well.

Same here, then add lenses I want and quick release straps. Best way to customize yourself.

Those added with dual pane lenses help a ton with fogging issues in wet/damp conditions too.

Ive looked through cheap shit that makes a distortion like my heads in a fish bowl.

I only wear goggles for really dusty conditions. I've found that curved safety glasses provide a wider field of view and also protect my eyes. And they are cheap at Walmart Eye dept.  They fit tight enough to my face that they also do a good job of keeping insects from my eyes and out of my helmet.  Easy to clean and when the lens becomes scratched replacements are cheap. One plus is they are available with a reading spot, with a range of strengths, so I don't need to carry reading glasses.

I’ve tried Scott goggles on at the dealer and they had the clarity of goggles 200% more expensive. Side by side comparison. I always thought that the most expensive goggles are carrying a huge markup for their name brand. They all have polycarbonate lenses, silicone lined straps, dual stage face foam, mounting tabs for tear offs, etc.

I can’t justify higher priced goggles until I want specific performance features such as dual pane, roll offs, photochromic lenses, etc
