Lake Arrowhead ride day

I'm in for exploring arrowhead!  I'm thinking that the building of SSS is possible there.

Just poach the illegal mountain bike trails already up there.  They did all the work for you.  Some of it is really tight, skinny and fun.

Ha! I've already been riding the mountain bike trails.  Recently they have been putting up signs that say "Mountain Bikes Only, No Dirt Motorcycles."  LOL.  I tore up their trails and their signs.

It was a fun ride, Allen.  Great weather and not as many quads/SxSs as I expected.  This was Allen’s final SoCal ride.  He is moving to Washington this weekend.

Where did you guys stage? I've never ridden Lake Arrowhead, just Miller Canyon/Pinnacles.

We staged by the dam.  Rode up toward the Pinnacles then over to Deep Creek and back to the dam.  About 40 miles.

If you have ridden Pinnacles trails then you've ridden Lake Arrowhead.  Really isn't anything at Lake Arrowhead.  People call it that cause folks drive through Arrowhead to stage at Pinnacles.  The trails mostly head East from Pinnacles North of Lake Arrowhead.

OH! Ok then. I definitely don't drive through Arrowhead to get there, but I always thought there was riding closer to the lake. Good to know!

The fire road system can get you over to the USFS Volunteer Center across he street from the Hospital on the hill just North of the damn.  That's about the closest you can get to the town/lake via dirt.

There is a fun trail that starts near the Silverwood dam and winds up to the fireroads between Miller Canyon and the Pinnacles.  Kind of runs along the ridges, with plenty of uphill climbs and downhills.
