Oil Filter O - Rings

Does someone know what sizes are oil filter o rings? Diameter and width of O Rings for oil filter and oil filter cover. 

 

What type o ring is recommended? 

 

I want to buy some "o ring pack", can you recommend which one to buy?

The inner oil filter o-ring is 1.9cm outside diameter x 13mm inside diameter x 3mm thickness.Suzuki #09280-13004.The material type is Buna-N (Nitrile) rubber.

 

 

The filter cover o-ring is about 55.575mm outside diameter x 52.6mm inside diameter x about 3mm thickness.Suzuki # 09280-54001

If you buy WIX filter off Amazon they come with both O rings.

Kind of a rant.

 

Honestly, the stock Suzuki inner o-ring is not very good.  It is too loose (too big around) and should not come off every time you change the oil.  For me, I just replaced it with a fuel/oil safe o-ring from a Harbor Freight kit.  It seems to seal perfectly well and stays in place when the filter is removed.

Wix filters are actually some of the best filters out there. For the price they are a bargain. If you search on BITOG you won't find anything bad about Wix filters. Pretty much any of the "nicer" auto parts stores carry Wix filters.

I have use the Wix and NAPA Powersport oil and air filters for years and they are excellent.Wix manufactures the NAPA filter.

To convert the dimensions to sae multiply millimeters by .03937 inches.

Just order by the oem part numbers provided or they are provided with the NAPA oil filter.

Oil filter o ring is 2.4x 52.6mm

The 2.4 part of the diameter description in the parts fiche doesn't correlate to inches,centimeters or millimeters. It's likely always been a typo.I measured the cover o-ring at 2-3/16" or 2.187".

It is 2.4mm in cross section (aka thickness or diameter) that’s not a a typo
