But, to do the bottom end you have the cases open and transmission out also. So it couldn't hurt to flush out any potential contaminates that got in there during the rebuild.

The perfect moto storm........... First turn pile up taking deegan out and not able to race moto 2..... Jo with 2 moto wins, would be epic.

A friend's kid brought over her jr50 to ride over the weekend. She rode around the yard a few times and when she started down the trail I thought she had slammed on brakes to stop. I made sure it was out of gear and tried to kick start it. The kick starter would not budge. I put it in gear and it would not roll. Push it into the shop and pull the spark plug. It was dry and white. The oil tank was full. I've torn it down partially and although it's going to need a top end, I can't figure out why the kick starter is locked up and it won't roll in gear. My son has an 01 jr50 and it will roll in gear. I pulled the flywheel cover off and I can turn the engine over with a ratchet. It appears to be something in the transmission. I just found it odd that it'd blow the top end and lock up the transmission at the same time.

A lot of painful truth right there. He was battling Webb and Anderson earlier in the season for 7th and never stood a chance against AP when he was racing. A whole series and Roczen would probably be top 5.

The PO stated that a 40:1 ratio had worked best for him, so I used that ratio with “Silkolene Comp 2 Pre Mix 2T” oil and fresh premium gas.

If you let it idle, warm motor on an 80 degree day, with no air flow for 5+ minutes the fan should turn on.

I don’t think you would win in the WMX on any bike. 🤡 Not baggin on the women mx racers at all. The last place finisher would smoke me on a track.

It has been on our to do list for many years. I had an electrician that did some work for us and he said it was his favorite place. We have always thought about trying to rent a cabin and make a good trip out of it, but sadly it hasn't happened. I also want to check out Crossbar Ranch as I am really close, but I don't think it has much for singletrack there. I am always so busy, that it leaves very little time to go dirt biking. When I do get time I figure I better go somewhere that I know is good. We have been to both places in Bridgeport numerous times. Haven't been back to the Northwest OHV Park in a number of years though. I used to occasionally go to the place in Denison, TX, but I believe it is closed because the owner passed away. I have been to Lake Murray a few times. It is about 15 minutes from the house, but doesn't offer much for challenging terrain. Back to Barnwell. Have you been there? If so, what are your thoughts. I need to make more time to go dirt biking.

If I did my bad math in my head correctly adding the face shim would actually be the bigger change than removing the 18 and using the 17 as the clamp. Neither are big changes.
-
Over here we'd just buy a blank sprocket and have it machined to suit if you can't find something. Post up those measurements.
-
Float is like a big bleed, it makes the initial movement softer, like it needs more speed before the damping increases. it'll also be softer through the stroke. On the fork guys have found the shims can't open enough, they contact the backing stack and plate at high speeds which makes the comp damping spike. It's not an issue with the shock, you'll just have to effectively decrease the high speed damping.
-
Ya you could try that too.
-
I'm thinking there could have been less shims in the b class lsv shim stack and that's why they used 2 clamps shims, because less shims in the tapered stack makes the gap smaller from the face shim to the washer/baseplate and they used another clamp shim to open up the spacing so the face shim can open up further before hitting the washer. I've seen them use stiffer lsv stacks for A class vs b class or c class. But maybe not in your case for mx.

What is the condition of the nikasil around the ports? In my experience, hard riding on a TPI (motocross) leads to extra piston/cylinder wear due to lean stock ECU settings. Hard enduro/trail riding might be fine. LIKELY the bore is worn and will need to be replated. UNLIKELY that the piston will seize from being too big. As @NastyR1says ... measure the bore.

Red river motorcycle trails is a great place to ride. 3000ish acres, hundreds of miles and trails and singletrack. Open to the public on the weekends, and to members during the week. Most of the time during the week, you’ll be the only one out there. It’s $150/year. I’m usually out there a couple of times per week. Barnwell Mountain is probably close to the same amount of driving from Irving, as it is to RRMT, but I’m not sure. It’s open Thur-Sunday, and it’s a state ran park, geared towards OHV - jeeps, but they do have a really awesome singletrack loop. I’d ride there more, if it weren’t such a drive for me. Twin Hills Cycle Ranch is another good place to ride, with a lot of singletrack. It’s bikes only. No quads, no SxS, very rocky, and a lot of fun. someone mentioned trophy club, which is the one on grapevine lake. Save your time and money. They have about 7 miles of beach sand covered singletrack. Literally there’s an awesome place in Callisburg, that probably has the best singletrack around, but you have to know bobs, cousins, friends, wife to get in thats about the extent of the singletrack in north Texas. RRMT makes up for it though. It has everything and it’s a good time.

If you're wearing proper moto boots and standing with the ball of your foot on the peg as you're supposed to, this places your heel in the perfect spot to move the kickstand down juuuuust far enough to cut ignition. Then the engine braking throws you forward, and your foot then lifts off the kickstand, causing a surge in power, which pushes your weight back onto the kickstand, cutting out again. It's a vicious cycle, and pretty damn dangerous. I found this out by standing, and coming to a complete stop with my right foot on the ground, with care given to not move my left foot from its exact position. I call it the kill me switch.

It's very unlikely that you pinched a hose from just pulling the tank out of the way to fish a wire underneath. What were the conditions? Sitting in urban traffic, or flowy country road? Extended time in direct sunlight in the middle of the day? Do you live in the desert? Did you place a stuffed animal in front of the radiators for style points / to look cute? The radiator fan is on the left radiator, so that can explain the left side feeling warmer. Maybe it was the first time you sat in traffic long enough for the fan to kick on...? As for the center of the seat getting warm, that's very odd. There's quite a bit of cushion in the true center of the seat, so for something to transfer heat all the way through is concerning. Let us know what you find after pulling the seat and tank.

Prado is 6th in points. What does that say for AMA Motocross if somebody so embarrassing can finish in the top 10?
