CT State Forest Trail Riding

Used to take the Jeeps up in Maroma's on the power lines off of Aircraft Road as well. Before they put in that new power plant we would go in from River Rd. My dad works for NRG and used to hunt all those areas so I learned my way around. Not sure how the trails are now but there used to be a ton of stuff to ride. Used to be able to go in by the resevoirs as well, but last time I drove by in Sep, it was gated off. There's some powerlines off of Old Cart Rd down in Haddam as well. I've seen bikes go by headed up there but never got a chance to check it out myself.

Yeah its awesome out there i go trail riding on the other side of the highway of maromas near the powerlines, all the way to Middletown. But in cockaponsett state forest the trails are all still there, but if it wasn't for all the kids that live around there that ride in there i think the trails would be overgrown. I don't understand because the DEP are really mean about us riding there.

Yeah its nice there but the dep are really strict about it. The trails and pits are in good shape but only cause of all the kids riding out there

DEP used to chase us all the time back when I lived there and rode, about 10 years ago. We'd just lose them in the forest since we knew all the trails. A friend had a sandpit/track back home we used to ride sometimes too.

Haha nice, that's what me and my friends do now. Once were in the trails there's no way their getting us
