Swap old plastics for new look on ktm?

yea can be done very easy but yours may need a new upper subframe mount from scratch, mine shown below is a 2002 ktm300exc (easiest year to convert) it took 2 cuts to the upper subframe mount, then retap the holes m8x1.25 tap, then the left hand subframe rail needed about an inch taken off, and re drilled,also the tank peg mount needed moving up around half an inch. just brought a 2013 so this project is on hold at the minute. but will be finished someday

hey mate your bike looks sick, i was just wondering if you could give me some more details on how you did it like the parts because im pretty interested. i have a 01 ktm 200 exc and have allready put a 2013 front fender and light on it, thanks

I think the 03-06 KTMs are the best looking bikes. I have an 11 and it just doesn't look as good as my 06. I really hate the latest number plates. They are way to small and are a part of the air box. This really sucks if you need to change plates often. I ride in two seperate org. that require two different backgrounds on the number plates. It takes about 90 seconds to change the rear plates on my 06 and over a half hour to change the plates on my 11. Now we could talk about the UGLY black gas tank but that would need a whole new thread. It sucks!

yeah the newer sx gas tanks look shit imo the orange looks the best but the black by far is the worst

How did you do the shrouds? New tank? Also any way you could tell me what you did to the subframe?
