Sounds like some awesome friends ?

If I told my friends to stay off my bike, they would do just that, and I the same with theirs!

Either way, pull the ECU, easiest way, and there is no way they will get it going unless they have another one.

Pop the spark plug wire off. You'll probably be able to hear them kicking it before they realize why it won't start. Then you go deck the shit out of the guy and make your friend get rid of the douche.

++++1 to the above. that was gonna be my suggestion to. If you are within earshot of that bike you will hear long before they figure it out. ?

Don't pull the plug boot, some ignition systems can be damage if there is not a path to ground.

As slomojo said put a padlock thru a hole in each brake rotor and the bike can not be rolled or ridden, quick and easy fix. This is also a good theft deterrent.

And/or ground the kill switch wire (under the tank out of site) and the bike will not start.

i have had a few "buddies" like this in the past. it didnt matter what i told them not to do they would do it anyways. In the instance of one of them he is 6 4 250, no way my 6 ft 165 lb ass could beat him up for being a drunk A hole.

needless to say after dealing with that idiot so many times, he is no longer invited on desert/offroad trips. He is bitter about this but i dont care.

I know what its like to have dumb friends have even dumber friends that do stupid stuff. pull the sparkplug wire AND lock up the rotor. dont underestimate the idiots, they might try to pull start it!

My Dad told me of a story like this a looonnnng time ago. When I was four or five. Not sure of the entire details but, Here's a readers digest version.

Couple of my Dad's friends hanging out, cooking, chilling, and drinking together as always on Saturdays. We had unexpected guest come over that was complete a dickhead. (Friend of friend) He kept touching and setting on everyones bikes (street) and bagging on them for not being HD's. He begged to ride the "rice" bikes. No one would let him. So, when no one person was looking, He picked up some keys that were left on the bar in the house.

He revved it out flying up and down the street. It was my Dad's smallest friends bike that he took. Later he said he was scared the jerkward was going to basically take off on it and never come back.

The dickhead finally came back. Then he crawled to our ditch. I don't know what else happened but, I'd do the samething. You'll walk over to it but you'll crawl away on your belly with broken knee caps buster.

To this day my Dad says that was a bad thing for family to be around. He is nowhere near that kinda man now.

me and all my buddies have good understandings of one another and ALWAYS jump on one anothers bikes and take off with them. (exeped the street bikes ad harleys)

we have never had one thing hppen that one guy has been pissed at another guy for it.

but if someone out of the blue came in and did that, chances are that some hell would be raised.

had a friend do this to me with a streetbike in highschool...

he was watching our house as the family was on vacation.

came back to a street bike with a blown engine.

guess who footed the bill (not te 16 year old who blew it up)

kids make dumb mistakes and do dumb things. better protect your stuff if you're worried about it getting riden.

Take out the CDI, spark plugs are too easy to replace if they figure out that is the problem.
