Knobby Tire Selection

Recommended Posts

Bridgestone 404 rear and 403 front:thumbsup:

Travis...hawking the 'Stones...?

The new Geomax Dunlops are very good as well. I run the MX51 (Intermediate Terrain) up front an a sissy tire in the back. I have a buddy running the MX51 rear tire on his '07 450EXC. He's luv'n it bruh...?

i have used the s-12 for years but it seems to me that in the last couple of years the knobs start chunking off pretty quick. it's porbably just me and not the tire because it is a quality tire IMHO. also thanks for the honest opinions and not trying to be funny.

The s12 is a great tire for mud and it still wears really fast but if you use it on anything hardpack you are gonna see alot of chunking after a couple of rides..I used an S12 one time in a mud race and it hooked up awesome but it looked like it hand 4 or 5 rides on it after that..The maxxis IT isnt bad but its not great and they cost more then the Bridgestones.. Personally Ive never liked Dunlops and they are pricey..Good luck deciding:thumbsup:

I have ran every tire trying to find the perfect mix. the best I have found that last and grab good in most of the conditions we race/ride on is the Dunlop geomax mx51 rear and a Michellin AC10 front. I ran the s12 for the longest time but in the hardpack conditions I just didnt feel that it performed as well! Just my .02 cents!
