Two Rides Out At Area 52

Recommended Posts

This ride report is from two different rides based out of Area 52. On both rides we started from our normal staging area but rode two very different loops. On ride one our cast of characters will be Yours Truly (9lives), My oldest son Jr (Turf Tamer), Craig (Bellec), Steven (Adrenalinewarfare) and Tom (Tomslick).

Well let's just jump right into the good stuff. Here's Craig being followed by Tom.

Okay now here's Steven's answer for how to get around that obstacle. :moon: Keep in mind here that if you fall to your right you're going to end up one battered/bruised/bloody mess. ?

Picture501.jpg

Myself, Craig and Tom decided we wanted nothing to do with that section. ? Craig as we're heading back looking for something a little less radical than what Jr and Steven did.

How's your daughters arm?

Here's my photo contribution to the ride report:

IMG_0257.jpg

Pretty good-size break with a 6mm separation. Reducing it in the ER didn't work (although it almost made me puke) so they had to operate and add some "aftermarket accessories".

She'll be fine, she's already got her sister towing her around in the wagon up to the doughnut store on the corner.

I guess this sort of stuff is to be expected when you DON'T let your kids play video games and make them play outside...

EDIT: I wish I could have joined you guys but chances are if I had, I'd be the one in the x-ray ?

Wait till you see the ride report from yesterdays ride Chad. ?? :p Rode a whole lot of stuff over there that we've never been of before. Also was stupid enough to follow Steven and Jr down a hill that was absolutely nuts. ??? :p ?

Another brilliant report that makes me want to learn and ride so I can join you guys........maybe not. The pictures I am quite confident do not come close to expressing the difficulty of those climbs and downhills:eek: It's always cool to look and dream though. Thanks for the photos and RR!

Hey, less than 10 miles in and I'd cracked my ignition cover, lost half of my oil, punctured a radiator hose, and lost half my coolant.

Now that's what I call a ride!!

Now you know why I ride will all those tools - one of these day's I'll have to figure out how to pack a spare bike!

So Walt's invite goes a little something like this:

"Hey Chad, you want to go out to Area 52"

"Why yes Walt, I would. That sounds lovely. Is this a 250 ride or a 450 ride?"

"Oh, it's a 450 ride, and be sure to gear your bike extra tall. We'll just be blasting the desert in 6th gear all day."

"Wow Walt, that sounds swell!"

"Hey, while you're at it why don't you shed some pounds and rid of all those pesky skid plates and guards"

"You sure about that Walt, sounds kind of risky? Won't there be any rocks?"

"Rocks!? Why shoot no, there won't be any rocks for miles..."

Hey BigBob, you got any deliverance photos I can borrow, (or maybe a spare kayak)?

That looks like a fun area, can you pm me and tell me where it is? If you can't I understand, but I will find out....I know people.

Remember, I will not make it public info.?

I'd like to seek out there next week and train for the DMC National.
