camelback over chest protector?

How do you guys wear your camelback over your chest protector? any pics? thanks

I wear mine under my chest protector.

I got annoyed with it over or under so now i just strap it to my rear fender and leave it near where I am riding.

I bought a hydration pack for snow boarding it dose not have any straps so I zip tied it to my chest protector and it works great. Probably hard to find now but the pack is made by Dakine. Use a screwdriver under a torch or stove flame to make the holes, that way they will have nice smooth edges and will be slotted perfect for the zip ties to fit. ?

i have a real nice camel back and a nice new cp so i dont think i want to melt holes in my cp or buy a new camelback. thats sounds like a neat system though. just not right for me.

Try it, you'll be surprised. When I wore it over my chest protector, it was constantly pulling the back of my chest protector down and forcing the top edge against my throat. Now that was uncomfortable.

Obviously if you have a drinking system that also has a pack for storage you won't fit your chest protector over it, but mine is nothing but a bladder in a pouch. Don't know if it makes a differeence, but I don't wear Camelbak, I wear this:

Dang... That's a really good idea.

I see adds from the sporting goods stores with clearance water packs for $20. I wouldn't hesitate to cut the straps off one and try this.

Before I read this I wore mine over my chest protector. At best it was awkward. At worst it would find some way to rub me raw, often along the neck. I think I'll have a new system rigged up for the next outing. Thanks Bill_B!!

The RP-3 is $175 but I've seen it around for less and TT will price match. The SP-3 is $225 but only TT will be carrying it in the US so that's the final price.

Try this. I just got one of these and wore it twice. It's a chest protector, hydradtion system and tool pack. I carry alot of tools and it's a bit tight for that. Very comfortable........Chuck

i strap mine to the outside of mine. so just my chest protector wears it. i dont really know its there.

I have the Camelbak Classic 70oz that is pretty small so I do the same thing Chokey does and put it under my chest protector. This method was the most comfortable for me.

+1 on the Zac Speed. Love mine... ? I don't have the larger pack, but it's been fine for shorter trips. But, the larger pack would be nice.
