hi everybody

yeah i can't find one- do they exist? i don't really want to get a crf 250 R haynes manual, i imagine they are completely different bikes. i have searched for Clymer manuals too, no luck. where can i find a manual for my bike? (other than the honda manual itself.)

whats wrong with the honda service manual?...Mine is fine.

I don't know about 150/230 service manuals, but service manuals for stuff like my honda car, are basically JUST for mechanics that already know what they are getting into and just need specs..

Haynes and clymer give you walk throughs, and guides to dissasembling parts

but for all I know, the factory manual might do the same

Is anyone familiar with the paper Speed Wrench Service Manuals - they are $22?

I have been unable to find the Haynes manual for my '05 CRF230F. Sounds like there isn't one.

This one is $48 http://www.helminc.com/helm/product2.asp?class%5F2=AHC&mk=Honda+Motorcycle&yr=2005&md=Off%2DRoad&dt=Shop%2FService+Information&module=&from=result&Style=helm&Sku=61KPS05&itemtype=N&mscsid=NNL8V9XU4N1Q9N1QX0VG1FCDR7FL1MR1

and this one is $50 http://www.repairmanual.com/catalog/61KPS04

Need to start somewhere. Any advice opinions?

Thanks Terry

Thanks unclewho

I saw that on ebay

I was hoping for some advice as to which one might be more user friendly for a REAL noob like myself.

the official honda one for sure..

i havent had any experience with the other manual but the honda one puts LOTS of pictures and detailed step throughout..

heres one page that i scanned for something else that you can look at..

oilLarge.jpg

its worth the extra money to get the factory one..

every time i cheap out with any car or truck manual i end up paying for it in the long run

I bought a HONDA Manual on EBay. Just got it today! Plenty of pics looks very helpful. I have to ask - I changed my oil - first time! Put the strainer in wrong... did it again. Now I see in the pics that there is supposed to be an O-Ring. I did not have one on it and so it does not have one on it. How important is it?

Just run down to your local auto parts store and pick up a bag of various sized o-rings - it will cost you next to nothing and then install. The O-ring should be on there. :busted:
