KTM 50 forks on a CRF50??

Has anyone put KTM 50 forks on a CRF50? Bike is rode by a child only.

wont work without heavy modification to the frame.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think if I were to attempt that, I would:

1. Get aftermarket tree for a xr/crf50 that holds the same mm size fork tube as the KTM fork. Maybe the next size bigger even( say 33mm fork, 34mm tree) and use shims to make the fork tube fit the tree.

2. Your done.

i think the space between the forks will be too small to fit the wheel in.

The width is determined by the tree, witch was made for a xr/crf50. After that it would only be narrower if the lower fork axle hole is thicker. So you would just have to make bigger or smaller axle spacers.

By the way, I do own a Honda CRF50 and a KTM 50.

and then what about the brakes?

Use the KTM wheel, brake, tire, tube. Did I miss anything?

If I sell the motor out of the KTM, I will do this for all of you here. I was looking at a new tree and it should all fall almost into place.

Who makes the tree? My KTM Marzocchi fork are 34mm. What are yours?

I would contact Marocchi as they build forks for the 50. Get info on tree then either CNC some or buy direct and add your forks.
