how much for 2001 kx 100??

Recommended Posts

My 2001 kx100 had more mods than that but I still only got $1100 for it. I was asking $1300 but it sat for about 4 months and 3 of them I didn't have any bike so I figured I better take it. I bet you could get $1100-$1300 for it as long as nothing is wrong with it.?

uhhhh.... maybe. people look at the condition of the bike, then they look for power, then they look and see what goodies you got. after all thats over with, theyll try and make you come off your price a little. so go maybe 100 or 200 over to compensate for that. most important thing is make the bike look great.

Yep, when we sold my 100, we cleaned every spoke. That took forever.

dont know too much but my guess would be anything from 04 to 07 but if you cant find one from there you can look at getting and 02 or 03. i wouldnt go too far down. the newer the better in most cases. technology is always improveing, so the newer the bike. the better technology it'll have. not always the case though. as for price, uhh.... id say maybe anywhere from 1800 to 2500 at the most for a used one. you could get lucky. but if nothing rolls around under 2300 or 2400, just wait, be patient b/c their will be one. i had to wait 3 months and got a great deal. my bro said he wanted a new bike and the next day he got the best KX100 ever, it came just like your KX and we got it for 1800. you just dont know. youll know a good deal when you see one. but dont be afraid to wait.

we payed 1500 for my 03' RM 100 (same exact bike, even has KX on the frame). Id ask 1200-1300. You would have to be a complete fool to buy a 01' Kx 100 for anything more than 1600, hell you can a get an 03'-05' 125 for 1600. In Indiana anyways....

2005 was the last year for the kx125 in the U.S.

Used prices are heavily dependent on the market, and how desperate the Dad is to get a bike for his kid. I paid $1800 for a stock 2001 this year and ended up putting in clutch plates and doing a top end! Why you ask. OK, partly because I have more money than sense! But also because here in CA we have something called Green Sticker and Red Sticker, and since my son and a lot of kids didn't want a new 4stroke porker from Honda, the pre 2002 bikes are all highly sought after because CA grandfathered all of them as Green sticker which means you can ride year round and not just a few months a year (red sticker). Also since So Cal is so spread out, most of the bikes I could find were hours away, and since everyone will say the bike is in great condition....it is a real chore. I checked the ads for a couple of weeks and $1800 was the average! So I would say get the local Cycle trader rag and look online in your area, and ask whatever the market will pay! Don't worry about what someone sold for in Indiana or Carolina..just find out what the same bike goes for where you are! W-o-r-d
