CRF150F Upgrades ?

Recommended Posts

Im planning on removing the baffels from the silencer and air intake and get the jetting to work good with it but are there any other ways to get more low end power at a cheap price? Its a 2003. Does BBRs rev box work? If they do i might get one because $50 isnt bad. Anyone got some good jetting settings for this setup?

dont bother with a rev box. everyone has their opinions, and mine is that its a waste of money. my jetting is a 115 main and a power up needle. everyone says the 115 is too rich but my bike runs a hell of a lot better with it. you can also try a 110. i run a full chm pipe system. a uni air filter, a wc skid plate, acerbis handguards, pro tapers, and some other stuff.

yea I also run a 115 and mine also runs like a charm. Idk you might have to get a new pipe to gain low power, but you could always mess with the gearing to gain down low as well. I also don't reccommend a rev box either, they really don't do anything for you.

What slow jet do you guys run with the 115 main. What altitude are you at? I run a 110 and a 42 and am squeaking just above sea level and my bike runs great.

If you are running the stock pipe, then you won't notice a difference with a rev box. I put on a bbr pipe, then added the rev box and it made a big difference. My son races it and pulls 4 place starts agianst 85's(before big bore kit). 115 main jet, down a notch on the needle (stock is too lean). I ride it once and while and always come away smiling.:bonk:

George has never even seena rev box, don't listen to him about it. But lets not start another argument about that. Gears are a good idea, but you're going to lose something on either end if you gain something on the other. Unless you find a way to get more POWER. Keep that in mind

Good idea. I personally don't have a rev box, but some say that it gives more mid and low end, or it feels like it. But who knows, you could try one if you want. And they are good for dunes, to keep the rpm high. Good luck

The best way to make a bike faster is improving your riding skills. Spend the $50 you would have spent on some "go-fast" item and buy gas or track time and actually learn how to ride the bike as it is.

After that, save up for your next bike then spend the money learning how to ride that one too.
