Where's the best place to sit for a supercross event?

Recommended Posts

At the atlanta supercross we sat 2 rows back from the edge of the first balcony. It might not have been as big of a rush to see all the riders fly over head but I got to see all the big crashes and I really got to see the race. I would recomend getting the first row on the first balcony.

I would take nosebleed before front row most of the time but would prefer midlevel. I don't think a bad seat exists, everything is so close. Sometimes you might get too close and not be able to see over obstacles or turns and miss alot of action.

I personally like it up a bit higher (the second level is fine with me) because you can see the entire track. Its not like your so high you cant see them well, you just cant reach out and touch them. When I go down low I hate not being able to watch the good battles around the track, because you can only see them in one area.

Up high is the best place to watch the race, but early on you should walk down low and check out the action. You won't be able to see 75% of the race but it's awsome beeing up close to a triple or finish line for one race.

This is the best advice. We once had seats right in front of the triple and it was awesome to see the guys fly by so close. However we couldn't follow the race action so we moved after a while. Sitting half way back is the best overall, but it's more like watching on TV. You have to spend SOME time down close because it's a totally different feeling.

It really depends on the track layout. I was midfield, waaay up, and got to see the whole track, which was alright, but I did enjoy sitting right in the middle of a small jump to U-turn, it was great to see the bikes so close.
