feeler gauge

I'm getting a yz250f for christmas so i decided to come prepared and get a feeler gauge to check my valves. Do you guys reccomend any? any link for any of them would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

I tried to check my gaps with a normal feeler gauge. I don't remember the exact tolerances but they're super tight. My gauges don't fit, Yamaha has special go-nogo gauges you can buy for this.

well i was intrested in checking valves not spark plug gap

Check Motion Pro. They have neat little angled feeler gauges we use on the KTMs. I think they have several sizes with one size on each end for about five bucks.

If you don't want fancy pricey feeler gauges Home Depot has them. So does OSH. They're made by General.

sears...craftsmen has a good set for 5$...they are long and angled..thats what i use..works awsome

what do you guys mean when you say "go no go"? How will I know if the feeler gauges are this type?

Either get the dedicated Metric set as mentioned from Griot's Garage. Or get a standard set that has a .0015 feeler. That way you can stack it and get a more acurate measurement. .001 = ~.25 MM

Go no go feelers are stepped so you just push them in till you can't push to the next larger step, and thats your measurement.
