I bet youd go through pistons and clutches like nothing pulling your weight. They are two strokes and made for little kids. I dont think they are as bullet proof as a honda 50 or even a honda knock-off. But i bet it would still be fun. I knew a guy that would beat the crap outa his kids kx65 and had a blast doing it but said it was really hard on it.

My son has an '03 KX60 and its alot of fun to ride, nothing better than that two-smoke "hit".

Since its built for the little guys, suspension is WAY soft even for me (Im 140lbs).

I haven't checked into it but maybe you could upgrade it with suspension from an 80 or 85?

Get that 60!!!

Why should he get a 50 or 110? the 60 will crush them.

Also... have u heard the bike?? They sound is amazing, the end.

Yeah they do sound amazing and they will crush the 50 or 110, but.....if thats the objective, why not just get a 125 or 250?

The 60 is a great bike but I thought we were talking about Pit bikes.....the 50 or 110 would be better because of parts availability for modifications (to suit a larger rider) and the 50 or 110 would be accepted into one of the pitbike racing classes, just like Jetster220 said.

Now if he were looking for a bike to ride around the Pits...then a 60 would be awesome.

or buy a gpx 125 motor and cdi and coil and fab up some motor mounts...!!!

still no good cause he fails the open cradle frame!!

and the kx60 still isn't a pitbike and like jetster said HE WILL BE LEFT OUT WHEN RACING AT MOST EVENTS!!

the bike would be fun to have in the g-rage but still isn't a pitbike!! no matter how u look at it!! and whoever said it about the motor and clutch rebuilds was dead on!! that thing would just cook its self!! good luck!!

I beg to differ. For adults, the kx60 doesn't have nearly enough torque to move mass fast, especially off the start. Yeah, you'll beat stock fiddy's or 110's, but who leaves their pitbikes stock? My '110' will beat my similarly sized buddy on his neighbor's kx85 in drag races. Not to mention all of the rebuilds and clutch parts you'll end up doing...

bs. there is not a 110cc pit bike made that will beat a kx 85. wait, you must be talking about a 4th gear roll on or something..........in a straigh out drag race, your talking something that doesnt weigh much more, and has 20+ hp. a buddy of mine that i used to ride with had a late model 80, and if the conditions were good, his 80 wouldnt be but a few steps behind my 250f for the first 100 or 200 yards. and before its said, ive been riding for over 18yrs.........i do know how to. :banghead:

Uh, sorry pal, its not BS, my xr50 with 117cc kit will also smoke a 85 in a straight line drag. Im sorry you are failing to realize just how fast these things get. And lets look at this logically, a 85 weighs probably what, 170lbs making what 25hp. Thats a 6.8:1 power to weight ratio. Now my 50, 105lbs with 12hp is 8.75:1 power to weight ratio. Now looking at that, you tell me which is faster EH. Not to mention, Im sure my 50 has gobs more toruqe than either that 60 or 85.

And DO NOT, try to argue this with me, because I will win, as I have put my bike up against 85's.

Hey Ethan I noticed your from Indiana, if you plan on racing the Reads Racing tracks then go ahead and get the KX60, they'll let you run it there I've seen it done before. The people there are really cool and they know the pitbike class is just for fun.

Jetster Im with Racerx on this one, no f'ing way you can beat an 85. I've ridden some big bore pitbikes with manual clutches suspension everything and theres no way one could beat an 85. You get a video of this and Ill believe you, lets argue....
