"Hitlis" powervalve system

Yes I think all the bike magazines should do a review with this product! And expose it for what it is!

I put this into my 285X and went out just this last Sunday for my first rip!

Words can’t even describe how good this makes the bike work, Tim with HITLIS wasn’t joking when he said this should be the first mod you do to the bike.

With this set up now the governor controls the power valve and you can tell right away how smooth and controllable the power is.
Don’t get me wrong it’s not weak it’s far from that!

Hats off to Tim with HITLIS
This product kicks ass!

I gotta get one of these asap.

Hey Nick, yeah I’ve messed around with these Yamahas for a long time, and I consider my bike to have been pretty dialed for my style of riding/ trails, hills etc ,But when I added the Woods HITLIS kit and rode it last Sunday, you couldn’t wipe the smile off my face literally.

The  power is smooth, predictable, with a nice linear not aburpt spike in powerband,

I even noticed on first start up that the bike sounds different.

Anyway I thought I’d share my experience, and would highly recommend anyone to try it.

Hope this helps

Cheers

So your bike is a 250x with a bored 285? (x cdi, porting etc?)

Had you taken out the powervalve preload washer previously?

Hello, yes it’s a 250X bored to a 285/woods ported, apex head with the XC dome, stock cdi, stock reeds, stock pipe/fmf spark arestor,  13oz FWW retarded timing 1.5 degrees, yes I did that PV mod pretty much when I got the bike back in 2019. Before this kit my bike was dialed for my liking.

This HITLIS mod is top notch,

I’m the first one to install the kit in a BB and I really can’t say enough. Super pumped!

I spoke with Tim the Owner of HITLIS and the kits are designed for stock application. He’s been testing several stock bikes and bikes with mods like reeds , pipes etc, etc and has been taking off pieces one by one and testing continuously to confirm that a stock bike with one of the HITLIS kits works as it should/wicked!

I spent tonnes of money on different mods but if I had the option long ago to the HITLIS I wouldn’t have bothered doing anything else other then just rip the trails etc.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Yes sir I just added the HITLIS and I most likely won’t be taking off any of my other parts

i can only speak for my BB set up and I definitely take Tim’s word on how it works on a stock yz250 and or 250X,

He said as well the Bikes just tractor up places that will make you smile all day long

Man, all this talk about HITLIS is making me feel itchy.  I keep mulling it over if I want to try this, since I am in the middle of a rebuild.  Here in Florida, when I hit the throttle coming out a corner on the mx track, all she wants to do is spin and dig.  I feel like I need more of something that will bite the sand and stay on top....  But, on the single track I am rarely even going on the pipe.

Hello,  just wanted to say that when I spoke with Tim, he did mention that he not only rides trails, he rips the tracks as well and has been testing his bikes in all types of terrain,

He also said that on the tracks he be able to come into corners without downshifting and tractor out of them faster with more control.

Its a perfect time while your bike is apart, I do believe you and anyone who gets a kit will love it, I can’t wait to get back on my bike.

Hope this helps

Cheers

I got mine installed. It's a 2003 YZ250 with 09 YZ450 front end. Engine set up is: timing retarded 2 deg, Apex head with XC insert to tone it down and lengthen the pull, #40 PJ and 7.5 mm float, GYTR flywheel, and Rekluse.

I did a topend at the same time and installed with the MX dome and I started with the desert preload setting. When I went to the XC dome I lost alot of lowend snap, but was willing to give it up for controllability. But I wanted it back.

So far I've only got to test the bike on my little turns track behind my shop. The MX head gave me back the snap and ability to pull second gear out of tight corners. The Hitlis makes it pull so smooth and strong without fighting for control. I'm staying in control and already set up for the next corner. I was maintaining about a 1' path between corners, whereas before it was about a 3' path as I was all over the place on the pipe. Now I'm on the pipe in area 3 of a corner and keeping a straight path and already set up for next corner. I did get a quick rip down a gravel road and it is definitely not slow, it's more connected to the ground without the violent wheelspin, each gear seemed to pull longer.

These are my initial opinions, I'll get out to my test loop this weekend and get some data and details of certain areas where a 4T has been better for me. So far I'm thinking this is going to change that.

Right on man that’s sounds about right , smooth and linear power,,,

controllable 100%!!

Before I did my BB I had Apex (Matt) cut me a dome little juicer then his SX head, I loved that set up,

For how my bike is set up right now she’s deadly, I wanna ride it this weekend!

Glad to hear your first ride experience, this product kicks ass!

Let me/us know how the ride went

So I’m gunna chuck my opinion in for what it’s worth.

06 yz

, billetron pro, 14oz fly,fmf gnarly,fmf silencer,vortex ignition, Boyeson reeds,apex head mx dome, 426 gearing.

so add in the hitlis 250 and I find myself asking, is there any need for any off the other mods? 😭😭

I’ve had a smile from ear to ear ever since I let the clutch out today and better still I’ve got a 4 hour race tomorrow to do it all over again, it’s that good!

it’s smooth, predictable and useable, gives a torquee feel throughout the build up and I love it!

I can’t compliment Tim enough for his idea and his service, his communication is great and the hours he’s put into this really shows, so Yh go and press the button, you won’t be disappointed.

Dam rights, another killer review,

that’s exactly how I feel too, super happy, smiling and having a wicked ride, wanting it to not end!

Big shout out to Tim and yes the time he put into this product,

It speaks volumes when you first even start up the bike cause it changes the tune of it, and then the actual ride feeling!

Keep up with the reviews and wicked riding

cheers

Hey guys, I wish you could all see my inbox because the reviews and comments are beyond my wildest dream. Not everybody is into the social banter, and I get that, I'll try to get permission and put some up on the website somewhere. I see some are getting on here and other places, and it makes me totally excited, humbled, relieved, and confident all at the same time! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the support. It really means a lot 💪

The HITLIS and a $10 power jet is all ya need! Invest in fuel, tires and go have some fun 🏁 🏁 🏁

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS are arriving, passing through customs and getting to your local areas in about nine days. Please check your emails and watch the tracking because a lot of countries are using third-party services (like Parcelforce Worldwide) for duty collection and final delivery. If this is the case, when the tracking says "held at delivery depot/delivery office" you can log onto their website and enter the US tracking number. That will give you a payment reference # that you can pay online and pick the next day for delivery.

DOMESTIC go by what the tracking says, not what I might have said, I forgot Monday is a federal holiday

I wanted to have one that everybody knew was biased and I could put up information and get notifications when people have questions.

Under the YZ Tips section on your site maybe do a jetting video as per your powerjet thread.
