Any updates? Curious as to how she’s doing?

Sorry been slow with updates.

Everything has been good with the 310, still no issues. I am always mixing my riding between the 310 and 300 2t so every time I get on the 310 it takes me about 30mins to fully adjust.

I got a new map from the factory to test. I went out and rode for 45mins on the stock map and then uploaded the test map. I feel like the new map has woke the bike up in the upper RPM. I am riding with the DB insert in the exhaust as noise is an issue here, I would like to test the bike without the DB insert at an MX track. I might do that next week.

I am going to play with creating a foam air filter as I really don't like the cassette paper mesh one they use. Just need to order the foam and then get cutting.

I have a friend who is considering one. He worries about spars such as plastic, seat cover, foot pegs, sprockets etc. I’m looking at the off road only US model SWM RE300 for the fall. I have the same concerns but we both love exotics

I would not worry about that at all tbh. Plastics are strong and flexible and most parts are crossovers. The bits that are AJP Airbox, tank, frame etc are things you would be doing really well to break.

The only draw back to this bike IMO is the close ratio gearbox. I like it as I ride tight woods 90% of the time.

I was out on the 310 last night and for the fun of it I started to ride the bike like a 125, it actually moves when you are powershifting in the upper RPM and giving it gears.

Bike is doing well. I have been splitting my time on it between my new 22 Race Beta 250. I actually think I can ride the AJP better now crossing over between the 250 2t and 310 4t as you ride the 250 2t on the pipe more, when I was riding the 300 2t with the 310 it was a big jump in power.

All in the more I learn to ride a small 4 banger again the more I enjoy it ?

The last 2 rides on the AJP I got flat front tyres, but I am throwing tubliss in it today.

Don't have a scales so not put it up on anything. It is not Ktm 250f weight, no denying that. Had a friend who owns a 16 Wr250 and he thought the AJP felt lighter and liked the power. In my head the AJP is somewhere between a 16 and 22 gen WR 250f.

The closest thing I can compare it to is a crf250x with a factory finish. Improved frame/handling, better forks, 300 head, XC gearbox, Fuel injection, exhaust system, hydro clutch and weight wise it is possibly the same. I keep calling it a modern day crf 300x built for reliability over weight.

I'm seriously close to buying an SPR310. I rode a 22 GasGas EX350F recently and I was really impressed with it. Hopefully the 310 has similar power.

Our local dealer has a hell of a price on the 22 GG EX350. Not sure if it would suit a vet rider in Eastern USA conditions, but the price is right. Did you notice any stalling issues? The AJP dealer nearby has a 310 and I’m tempted, but another exotic might not be the best idea for me. I have to think about parts, resale and support. Hoping dave can update us on the bike..

I didn't notice any stalling issues, but it has a Rekluse so that would've hidden them anyway. I will say that it has  much more linear power than the '22 WR250F I had, without the arm-pulling torque of a 450. Yeah, I'm a little nervous about buying a second exotic bike myself (I have a Reiju MR300 Ranger). The importer for AJP is a good guy so I think oem parts will be available, but resale is certainly a concern. Hopefully I'm not making a mistake...

I have a 2008 TE250 Italian Husky and a KTM 150xc. Gonna sell the KTM and get something a little less racy. I’ve looking at the Ranger 300, SWM RE300, AJP 310, Yamaha WR250f, and the Gas Gas 350ex. I guess the GG isn’t less racy then the 150 but it is a good deal. The WR is probably the best bet but, I really like the simplicity of the Ranger. Worry about resale, ease of sale and support however

I've ridden the GG EX350F and the WR250F and the 350 is much more linear. Actually, riding the 350 is one of the things that made me sell my WR. The WR250F engine has gotten very close to the feel of a full on race bike and has a hit almost like a 2T. The Ranger has tons of low end and can be lugged all day. It also comes jetted better than any carb bike I've ever had. It does vibrate, the brakes could be better and the starter can be a little finicky when cold. Rieju seems to really be making a push with these bikes so I think support will be good. Resale is always a question with an uncommon bike though. I've sort of just accepted that I'll probably trade in my unusual bikes on more unusual bikes.

if you get the SWM, it would be cool for you to compare it to your 08 Husky and then post updates to TT

I assume the WR had the full GYTR treatment? You’re gonna love the 300 motor in the AJP

It did have all of the factory restrictions removed. Great bike, but not what I was looking for. Riding the 350 really sealed it's fate.

I hope so. I like AJP so I'm really hoping the 310 is good.

What year model was the WR? I’m surprised about your assessment. I would have thought the 350 much harder to ride as it relates to power and ridability. Keep in mind I’m an old fart and my fitness ain’t what it was.  As far as the AJP 300 engine I think you’ll like it. Easy to service and very reliable. I saw a dyno test from the EU that yielded 41 HP.

Well I kitted the SPR with some graphics as I do like a set of backgrounds.

I done a race last week and finished 6th overall with the AJP. Fell off at the 2nd corner at the start and then worked my way back to a decent position only for the rad cap to pop off with my leg ? Had to ride back and forth trying to look for it cursing like mad, I then found it wedged into my footpeg of all places ? Had to pass everyone all over again for the next hour and half and died from dehydration while doing it as I had to use the water for myself in the bike. So a 6 OA was not bad, maybe would have gotten 4th without the screw up. All 300 2ts took the places above me so it was the best 4t on the day really.

It was a very grassy venue and I struggle trying to get a flow on grass, plus I am not really race fit. All in I think I think I would have done better on the 250 2t but I do enjoy riding the AJP.

Could I turn a faster lap time on a XC250f, more than likely. But passing others on an AJP is more fun ?
