2002 CR250 - fresh-up-to-date plastic ....?

Recommended Posts

The last gen CR’s have nice lines stock. A tasteful improvement would be a 04-07 front fender as they are sharper. At 20 years old any “updated” plastic kits are not really going to make your bike look like a modern bike.
I suggest you put new OEM style plastic add a seat cover and graphics and enjoy a classic dirt bike.
If you really want to modernize your bike go to the Gas Gas dealer and pick up a new 250 two stroke. They have traditional Honda colors and are completely up to date.

There are complete update kits to look like the 20 model CRFs out there.

Alternatively, if you want to just update the front, get a cycra front # plate from a 13+ CRF (because they can just zip tie these onto the forks and bars) and the get the same year front fender.  you will have to drill 2 holes to mount to the lower clamp.

Also cycra has in the past a rear powerflow fender to help intake into the airbox and has in the past had radiator shrouds.  nothing different looking, but increase cooling and intake.

You can get a restyle bracket from Pryme MX then run a '10 to '20 front end on your '02 CR250. Just run the same numberplate as fender. The pic is of my '12 CRF250X with a '19 CRF front plastics (Acerbis).

The bracket takes care of the top mounts and, on the '19 the bottom plugs into the fender. Comes with a template for re drilling the front fender. I had to change my top triple clamp and remove the X mounts from the bottom clamp. No big deal.

It'll be a direct bolt up for you.
