Anybody do any windscreens on their 500exc?? Let’s see some pics!!! Just made one fit off a 690. Yeah nothing special but it works great!!! And doesn’t look to bad!!

The problem is that once you get into real single track and your weight is thrown forward unexpectedly by an obstacle your chest smashes into the windscreen.

Obviously people are free to use their motorcycles however they please. But IMHO, if you are riding a 500exc on high speed roads so often that you feel the need for a windscreen than you bought the wrong bike.

Which is a great opinion!! But it’s definitely not the wrong bike!! [emoji1598][emoji1598][emoji1598]. It’s easy on and off??‍♂️[emoji57][emoji1598].

When I rode up around the northeast I wouldn’t have minded it...??‍♂️??‍♂️

It’s for a 2018... I trimmed it a little bit just to make it look better... same shape as the stock # plate!

Both bottom corners. The headlight isn’t the same shape as the 690 until the 2019s came out

Awesome, thanks for the info. I commute on my 500 and have been thinking about adding a windscreen with easy on/off.

Yeah, mines easy on and off. I use rubber sided washers and little wing nuts... I mainly like it for the cold mornings to work. I didn’t get it like I ride highways. But it does work very well!! And it doesn’t look all that bad??‍♂️??‍♂️[emoji1598][emoji1598]

Not really a fan of windscreens, they typically cause bad Helmet Buffeting  and direct all the air to your ears. Try a street helmet instead.
