XR200 Drum to Disc Brake Upgrade?

Been reading here for years and sure you covered this but can’t find it. I have a 2001 Xr 200 and want to upgrade the front end to disc . Would a 2005 crf 230 complete front work?

Yes, and stock 230 suspension will be very similar to the suspension of a stock 01 XR200R.

i read from someone that the early models had longer wheelbase. I found a swing arm and shock from a 85  Xr 200. Would I be gaining anything by swapping?

Same wheelbase but more suspension travel and higher seat. 84-91 chassis on right, 93-02 on left. The long travel shock has a remote reservoir. The long travel forks have different internal parts.
