wrist brace on throttle hand

Recommended Posts

anyone rocking a wrist brace on the right hand? I tried the other day and had to pull it off shortly into the ride, seems like it gave me a ton of arm pump because it put so much resistance against the throttle.

Not sure if I'd need to tilt my throttle farther forward or just twist with whole elbow instead of the wrist.

What's been your experience?

If you can get away with using one of those wrist compression wraps that is way more manageable. I went a few weeks using one of those and while it did tire out that arm quicker it still gave good support. Of course use the type brace your doctor says you should though! My point is if you don't require a stiff brace the compression ones are a good way to go.

Pretty much the whole time my wrist was sprained I tried to palm the throttle a little more and ride even more through my legs by trying not to resort to any manhandling of the bars

I broke my left wrist slightly at work for a printing company i never knew it was broke until i went riding months later, try ridin' without your brace, that would be metal!!!!📎048a9d61bd9d892bbecf945759a784d4.jpg📎10-31-Buzz-Dethklok.jpg📎no-more-clownin-around-by-taymonk.jpg Just pullin' your chain, leave it on!

Hey dude, sometimes you gotta be smart to be metal. You can't shred on a guitar with a jacked up wrist.

It probably depends on what amount of support you feel is required.  I ride with a couple guys who have wrist issues and aren't happy with standard wrist supports while riding.  They both now use the EVS wrister gloves and like the compression support and flexibility very much.  May not be to the level of support you require though.  They're not overly expensive so maybe worth a look.

I heard that brother! good thing my sg is light as a feather, I wear a tight fitting watch to push down the bone protruding from my lower wrist when I ride and jam. now if I could only play yyz a little faster.......gibson-sg-standard-p-90-s.jpg

i'm running these now, I really like the simplicity of putting it on but the right hand has to much throttle resistance and gives me a ton of arm pump.

Been considering trying to get my doctor to get me the all sport ones as i hear guys are having good result from not noticing them
