Wiseco fuel controller ?

Recommended Posts

ok right !! but is there any difference between the 2 unit ? a kind of a base map in it or something ? I am gonna pull out the trigger on one but I want to be sure that if I enter the same numbers than the other user in here I'll get the same results ?

I won't go full exhaust way, but I will open up my air box for sure !

the Positrons's EJK number for that mod is 1.5/2/3.5, will it be the same with the wiseco unit ?

**sorry for my english, I usually speak french so.... ?

I found it at about 250$ shipped to my door here in canada, its relatively cheap, i've talk with the guy from EJK and even with his discount, with the shipping it would cost me about 350$ CDN our money suck BIG TIME (76 cent USD with 1$ CDN)... that's why I want to know if it's exactly the same thing and if the positron number will work good  ?

Question to all, when you take bike into the shop, they plug into the computer, do you tell them u have a controller? Do the numbers on the screen read much differently?

You guys in English-speaking countries have no prob, but took mine in the other day before one of my last mods and didnt know how to tell them or if it even mattered

What do you think?

lolll french is really harder than english, but in our province, we must speak, read, write both or we are screwed... english are everywhere now, like in Montreal, if you don't speak english, don't even think about going to McDonald !! Where I live is a touristic place... most tourist are from US so english is the way to go lol !

it's on ebay ! controller + shipping is the cheapest i've found on the net !

hard to tell, the CRF is a dual sport with 18-21 inch wheel + gearing that come with it and the engine is not fully breaked in (450km lol).... and the WR was a SM with 17 inches wheels with 3000 km when i've bought it, the WR was faster for sure, a lot more top end on the road 70-75 mph was easy on every possible condition.

Mick you need to get a 13 tooth front sprocket on there quick. You'll see 70-75 easy, with no other mods :ride: it's the cheapest easiest mod that you will do and see a MASSIVE difference :prof:

What does the 13 tooth do to improve a CRF250L over the stock 14 tooth? Just asking. Questions like: Do you have to go thru the gears faster, is there more rpm's going on when at 70- 75 mph, is the swap meant for those that use the 250L more offroad...etc. i would swap sprockets if I just knew what all that would do to 99% street riding on it. Thanks for help.

In my personal opinion the stock CRF250L is way way over geared for its power ... plain and simple.

Putting a 13 up front is the same as adding 3 teeth to the rear ...  i.e. 43 tooth. From all the posts I have read and from my experience .... I think id I ran 99% street and never hit the trails I would still want a 13/42 or 14/45 combo. Yes you will run higher RPM's at 80mph but, you will be able to hit 80+ mph .... the stock 14/40 has a real hard time maintaining 72mph.

I run 13/44's and I can still hit 76 - 80 mph  so whats that tell ya ....  :excuseme:

Not that you should listen to me but, if you did I suggest a 14/44 setup for 99% street ....

This is just my opinion and is not to be confused with facts ....  ?

Cheers right back at ya ! Thanks for input by the way. If it is the same to put on a 13 tooth front sprocket as it is to put on a rear 43 why not pick the cheapest swap? Does the 14/44 act differently in a better way than the 13/40?

They say it is best to keep a 14 up front as it is less wear and tear on the chain and bike ... I do not know if that is true or not ...  :excuseme:

I do plan on running a 14/48 on the next go around tho .... 14/48 = 13/45

The cheapest and best bang is a 13/42 as you can retain the stock chain .... gearing and tires are such a personal choice that you will need to figure out what you like for yourself and tell the world to &%$#@! off .... ?
