Zeta rubber killers

Recommended Posts

The advantages are a more direct "feel" with your bike. Yes you do feel more vibrations with them but totally illimates bars twisting inside your triple tree. My bike was one day old and my son dropped it going approx 10 mph in grass and for the longest I thought my bars were bent but in fact they were not. They had twisted inside the rubber mounts. Yes you use your stock bolts with the rubber killers but I do not know what the recommended torque is on them. Would I do it again ... Yes I would and recommend it. See pics. They are red anodizedimage.jpgimage.jpg. I even added zeta 30 mm bar risers to mine. Makes for a more comfortable riding position

Anyone know what rubber killers are compatible with protaper bar clamps? The bolt is quite a bit larger.

I have the protaper bar mounts and zeta rubber killers on my bike... The protaper bolt is indeed larger so I used the stock bolts, 4K miles and never had a problem.

I got the killas installed with stock bars on an 08. I had a bar clamp bolt that was bent. Thought that my bars were bent at first. Replaced the bolt and installed the killers and everything is straight. I personally haven't noticed more vibration - even after track days......

myself , I'd try a 1 piece bar clamp to fix any bar twist problems, before getting rid of the rubbers. I only see the rubber mount twist after a fall a problem in a race. Any other riding it's so easy to tap tap tap (not push) the front wheel against a rock or tree to straighten out the bars.  My wrists and hands are blown out from riding so many years and rubber mounting and flex bars are a good thing.

Sorry, forgot to update in this thread.

They definitely make the steering feel more direct. Tighter, faster, lighter would all describe it. There is definitely more front end feel. Definitely feels more mechanical and not damped. Rough roads feel more rough and sharp, but I don't notice any extra vibes from the engine. For $20 I'm pleased.
