Rotella T6 engine oil weight and reliability

Recommended Posts

Honda would have you use 10w30 with moly on the engine side. Personally keeping the dust out is way more important than what oil you put in it, I've used many different oils in my little X and the only real trend I've noticed is more oil consumption using thicker oils.  I stay with 10w30 in any flavor.

now using wal marts "fix it" no name diesel (I think) oil, I buy it by the 20L pail.  change every 3 hours.

got the original crank on my 2005 450 with nearly 400 hard engine hours on it with no problems yet!!

Thanks for the input guys - I know it's like talking about politics . The T6 is fortified with zinc and actually lower detergent levels that normal oil . Zinc is good . Jaso MA is wet clutch compatible got to talk to a top fuel motorcycle drag team that uses it - gonna buy 1 bottle and give it a shot
