Holeshot secrets?

Recommended Posts

Tye, regardless on how you want to justify things, you just need to be more honest with yourself... The only people your helping are the ones that don't know any different....

Let me put it bluntly, MOST people who visit internet forums, haven't got a clue. They post questions to get answers so they can move on with their life. So yes, most people don't know any different, then any help is welcome help. ?

No, not if it's bad info. Like telling a guy to start 2ft back.... ?

I reread this whole thread and I have come to my final conclusion:

You're still a hack!

Really? You really think I "suggested" people start 2 feet back from the gate. No… I didn't, never did, you're just another fool to think so.

You're still a hack!

And unfortunately, you're just stupid. I guess thats what happens when you live in the middle of nowhere and chop wood for exercise.  ?

Ya, in post #9, your first post you mention that you start a 1ft or 2 back.... Then you later state "using the techniques above"....

I chop wood to stay warm, getting in shape is just a by-product.... What the problem there?

I didn't "advise" anyone on starting two feet back from the gate. I said its a technique I use on concrete starts (all gates in California are concrete) because I slowly release the front brake and the bike rolls forward before the gate drops. Thats how I get the launch and beat everyone to the first corner. Start by already having some momentum before the gate drops instead of going from a stop to a start. You don't get it because you don't start on concrete.I didn't quit anything. I haven't raced this year because my work schedule prohibited it.

Your a quak, you did tell everyone to start 2 feet back and you never said anything about rolling forward closer to the gate before it drops. Its all on the first page go look. By the way, my track has a concrete start......... Its funny watching you self-destruct every time you get called out. Carry on.

Na, I don't really care much for you because you're a bullshitter....

Because you only have been riding for a few years, you have adapted a condescending attitude towards people who:

A:) Don't live in California and ride

B:) Offroad Riders (who many can absolutely dominant on a track too)

C:) Riders that don't have a new and current motorcycle

D:) Experts who really are experts and clearly know more then you

E:) People who can ride a KTM with WP suspension and do just fine

F:) People who don't agree with your BS

You're history on TT(IMO) is worthless. You constantly write stuff, then after people respond to you, you go back and edit virtually everything to something different. I bet 70% of your posts are edited.... Some for spelling but most for a complete rewrite. You've been called out numerous times only to whine and bitch...

Combine all this with you history on other sites and it's all too clear. Your suicide note (I'm quitting this site boo-hoo) on that paintball website and your similar attitude in the Ducati forum, yes, all your BS fits too a tee the man you are here....

Trust us, no one is envious or jealous that you talked to Ken Roczen, their just people and if I spent the same amount of time walking around the pits whining about my suspension as you do, I would meet a lot of pros too!

You nailed it.

noone has given advices on the reaction part of the holeshot.

*look at the gate to the left or right. you react alot faster with peripheral sight.

*keep the clutch as close to engage as possible. to tighten up the slack of the chain.

*load up the suspension with the front brake engaged and clutch slipping

*if your on a small bike keep full throttle and release the clutch slow enough so the rpm doesnt drop to much.

This!  I like to look just over the top of the gate, at nothing in particular. But my attention is on my gate. It has something to do with your fight or flight reaction. ...and then stay on the throttle a little longer than anyone else, brake a little later /less than anyone else and get back on the throttle sooner than anyone else.  Look ahead, think ahead.

JMHO.
