Hi mates!

as you might know, i´m in the middle of my rebuild of my "new" old 2001 YZ 250

get all the bearings and seals out, bring them to your local bearing supply, they will stock 90% of them for dirt cheap and you can get some quality made bearings for dirt cheap.

Rebuilt cousins 08 yz125, hot rods crank and bearing kit.

rest of the transmission bearings came from boca bearing, along with most the seals to. 2 years later still purrs like a kitten

I can't get the tranny out, so i can't see the numbers of all bearings.

I askes koyo, if they know, what kind of bearings i need, but they couldn't help me so i would be really thankful if someone who did such a rebuild already could help me

Click this, and download it, its a pdf manual for your 2001 yz250, in there (have fun searching) there should be specs or part numbers for your bearings

http://www.yamahaownershandbook.com.au/lib/download.php?f=5MW-28199-30.pdf

And if you have the crank sent out for repair, than the cases must be open, start pulling alll the bearings out, one one side of each bearing there should be listed specs.

Im doing a bottom end rebuild right now on my 2001 and pulled all my transmission bearings. I took the bearings down to my local bearing supplier and it was more expensive then buying stock ones. The bearings that are sealed on one side are not available you have to order sealed bearings and remove the seals. I stuck with simple and just bought OEM through Cheapcycleparts online. The bearings on your shift drum are kind of a pain to pull out. I had to heat the case with a torch and use a slide hammer bearing puller filed down thin to fit under the bearing.
