2007 CRF 150F Gear Shift Shaft Replacement

My son fell and broke the shift lever off the gear shaft of his 2007 CRF 150F right at the spline. I pulled the right case off the bike, It looks like the only way to pull the gear shaft out is to first remove the clutch.

I saw instructions for a 2003 model it has different parts and did not need clutch removal. Can someone give me some advice here please.

I went to the dealer today to order a new Gear Shifter & was able to talk to a service rep & look at their service book.

The Clutch does need to come off for this model.
