YZ80(G) Manual

Does anyone have a PDF manual for a 1980 YZ80, Engine No. 3R1? or if anyone has a hard copy could they scan me the wiring diagram I`m kinda caught up with the coils, different coloured wires and such.

Had a look on yamaha UK and US. They don`t acknowledge the existence of the yz80 let alone anything older than 93

thanks for the advice. emailed yamaha and said they wouldn't have a manual, because of it being so old.

Then Ebay or possibly an old dealership might let you 'rent' thier copy and let you take it to Kinkos or some such place.

Also whats the ol` yz80 like? haha. I got mine dirt cheap from a friend as a wee project. ?

depends on the condition i suppose.back in the day they was great bike's,and quick too.

Well when i got it the stator was completely wrecked so it didn`t spark. I ordered a new stator but in the two weeks waiting i got bored, so to pieces with the bike. now she`s still in pieces but at least it sparks!. other than that just the usual: rusted bolts etc. has good compression will check start it up soon, quite busy just now got two other projects on the go.

Would love too, however i lost a lot of photos i had could do some of the rebuild but wont have many of the "before" pics, but some interesting photos of it in pieces.

hmmm, will have a look when i need it, found a 1981 H manual shortly after posting this, things are similar but i baffles me that they change the colours of the wires within one year.
