Dirt Bikes

For fast off road racing, are there undeniable benefits between bike types?
I was watching some races from the previous ISDE and some GNCC, noticed that on the Six Days the majority of riders rode some variant of enduro model (Beta RR RE, KTM EXCF for example) while on the GNCC races there are a lot more converted MX bikes (specially looking at the kawasakis). Courses didn´t appear to be too different either, and that got me thinking: Is there any advantage for buying an enduro model(EXCF, Beta RR, Shercos) over converted MX bike? Are these "adv
Powder coated sprocket teeth
Hi, I recently had my front and rear sprockets powder coated, but the teeth were not taped off, so they are coated too. Can I still use them? I would assume the chain would just wear the coating off, but just wanted to check that it’s fine to run. Could it damage the chain or anything?

2002 Polaris Xplorer 250 2 stroke oil pump
I just did the top end on the 250. The owner said that the oil tank was run dry. So, when I fired it I mixed the oil in the gas and ran it for a minute or 2. Then I disconnected the oil injection line from the carb and ran it some more and I got zero oil out of the line. Is it a thing for these oil pumps to go out? What does it take to rebuild it? Or is it better to just replace it? The bike sat for about 2 years before I got to it.  Thanks!

Ltz400 double spark won’t start
I have a 2005 ltz400 that has been sitting for a few years. I bought it about 8 months ago. I just got a new wiring harness and cdi in, it has spark, but it has it on the squeeze and blow stroke, so it appears to be firing twice as normal. It backfires and shoots flames out the carburetor, and it doesn’t run.
