2 stroke or 4 stroke?
Hey there. I’m riding a 2007 ttr230 at the moment and it’s a great bike, I just want to get a bike with more power. I pretty much had my heart set on trying to get a 250f, But I’m on a budget and don’t have much money to be fixing stuff. And I’ve heard 250f’s are expensive to repair and maintain. Do you think it would be better to get a 2 stoke in my situation? If I were to get a 2 stroke I was thinking of a 125 or maybe even a 250 If I can find a cheaper one, do you think that would be to big o
Used engine oil as chain lube?
I race hare-scrambles, and use a sealed o-ring chain. I like to use a bottle of transmission oil (10w40 or equivalent) to lube my chain. My question is if i could save some $$$ by saving the oil I drain from my two stroke transmission and using it as my o-ring chain lube? As long as there’s not metal flakes I don’t see why it wouldn’t work? Or is this a bad idea? Thanks. -CZ

Fz8 dirt off road must haves?
Hello, got my hands on an fz8 for dirt cheap and want to convert it as much dirt oriented as possible for fun  original tires are 170 55 17, which would be the most aggressive dirt tire and do I need to stick to 170 or can I go smaller? (don’t need it to be DOT) Any recommendations on sprockets? Won’t be going more than 70mph maybe gear down for lower speeds?

2002 Polaris Xplorer 250 2 stroke oil pump
I just did the top end on the 250. The owner said that the oil tank was run dry. So, when I fired it I mixed the oil in the gas and ran it for a minute or 2. Then I disconnected the oil injection line from the carb and ran it some more and I got zero oil out of the line. Is it a thing for these oil pumps to go out? What does it take to rebuild it? Or is it better to just replace it? The bike sat for about 2 years before I got to it.  Thanks!

Ltz400 double spark won’t start
I have a 2005 ltz400 that has been sitting for a few years. I bought it about 8 months ago. I just got a new wiring harness and cdi in, it has spark, but it has it on the squeeze and blow stroke, so it appears to be firing twice as normal. It backfires and shoots flames out the carburetor, and it doesn’t run.
