Headlight bulbs for more recent TE/SM bikes - stock is 35watt and are a ba20d base which is not the easiest to find.

*****I did some experiments and decided that the 45W bulb was a HUGE improvement over the stock 35W, but the 60W got a bit too warm & when the brakes or turn signals were applied the headlight dimmed horribly. In addition the 60W was not that much brighter. But these bulbs are cheap enough order some and try it out for your self.

Here are what those bulbs look like:

The following pictures are with lights out, same distance away, no flash, f 5.6, 1/2 second exposer time for all. Battery fully charged, in excellent condition, 3200 rpms, 2006 TE250 with stock electrical components except different incandescent rear turn signal indicators.

Engine Cooling

REPLACE THE CROSSOVER HOSE ON THE BIKES! Husqvarna puts what appears to be fuel hose between the radiators and it is not all that strong. Many replace the hose with fuel injector hose or radiator hose from an auto parts store for $5 or less.

Auto Clutches

Auto clutch (Rekluse) - Engages / disengages dependent on RPM

Slipper clutch - slips in the off throttle position (engine braking) and engages under power. Will not keep the bike from stalling like the Rekluse but allows you to free wheel into corners and down hills giving it a very 2 stroke like feel. Adjustable for effect.
