Showa Fork Rebuild Tips

3 posts in this topic

I'm new here, so I'll just tell you that straight up. If there's already a page here that can answer all my questions, please direct me there.

I have a 2007 Honda CRF250R with a 47mm inverted Showa cartridge fork. I just bought the bike used and the guy was kind enough to include fork oil and seals. I figured that since he had those on him, he was probably intending to rebuild the fork. It was last rebuilt two years ago, if I recall correctly.

I only have experience, and it's minimal at that, rebuilding 32mm Fox bicycle forks. Any tips on rebuilding this 47mm monster, or is there a page that tells me?
