Best seat foam for wr426?

The stock seat is a brick, so I got a guts standard height soft foam, it's way too soft. What do I try next?

I have a Clarke manuf. seat on my '01 WR426 (part of the Clarke seat/tank combo). While it's no Honda XR, I think it's better than stock.

You might want to look into spending more time in standing position. I'm a MX'er at heart, but even when I ride desert I get my butt up off the seat the majority of the time. :)

I do stand up 95% of the time, but my last bike was an XR so I like a seat that doesn't beat me. I talked to Andy at Guts and he said they would swap my foam to medium for cost.

They seem to have good customer service, I hope this works out.

My seat is also hard as a rock. Is there a website for Guts?

www.gutsracing.com Had their tall soft foam....like SDG's tall firm better. :)

The fat "before guts magic" lady is a real shame :D:)

I think I'll never get back on their website just to avoid that sight :D

To follow up: I now have standard height, medium foam from Guts. It is still a lot softer than stock, feels o.k. except I sink enough that I wish I had got Tall foam. Now I have over $150 in the seat and it still is only fair at best. I guess I will buy a complete seat from someplace and try that. I can't believe it's so hard to make a decent seat, I have been riding for 25 years and never even changed the seat foam before, of course most of them were Hondas. I was going to revalve the suspension, but I am spending all my time and money on seats. I thought this bike would require a lot less mods than the XR's did, but so far I have put in the 03 cam with the decompressor that XR's had 20 years ago, and still am working on the seat, and the suspension is a long way from good for my 160 pounds riding in the woods. It's as stiff as the seat was. At least it doesn't need any more power.
