99 yz400f fuel tank

New to yz's I have been on xr's for years until I picked up a used 99 yz400f with a few things to iron out. first of all-Can I use a fuel tank from an 06 yz250. and if not what other tanks will inter change? another stupid question a carb from an 01 yx250 probably wont work on a yz400f or will it? thanks for any help, looks like I have a lot to learn about these yamaha's.
