I think the heavier the magazines editors wallets are, the lighter the bikes supposedly are :) ! You do know that the "shootouts" on the mags are determined by how much money a manufacturer pays them right??? Well I think Honda has stuffed the airbox full of cash on the CR450 LOL...If ya know what I mean.

I cant wait to throw roost all over the front fender of a new CR450! Bring em on I got my BK mod! LOL

the new issue of DirtRider says that the CR250 did NOT meet the press release, but missed it by over 2lbs. so maybe the cr450f missed it by as much or more?

TransworldMX has a short writeup on the CR 450F in its web page. The weight issues (much lighter than a 426) and handling and engine questions are more or less answered in the review. Check it out or wait for a real test soon. I have not had a chance to see the Cyclenews test but I heard it was very positive and the 450F is better than expected.

I went to a Honda dealer yesterday and found the specs from Honda on their 450. It weighs in at 226 DRY. By the time you put 2 gallons of fuel ( Approx. 15lbs ) and 1.5 Qts of oil it weighs the same as the 426!!

So the CR get weighed with fluids and the YZ gets weighed dry? Ya, that sounds fair to me. :)

Yeh, 226lbs is the DRY weight. Meaning without fuel, oil and coolant. Whoever said the 450 weighed in at 235 full must have had $2000 of carbon fiber components on their bike!! There's no way!!! Also, 226lbs is the weight Honda is advertising. You know you can add a few more pounds to that.
