camshaft wear 2009 EFI 250

My KLX250 with 15000kms on it has a lot of wear on the camshaft journals.

The cam lobes are not worn, but the journals and the cover/bushes have big grooves on them

Does this often happen?

I have been running the bike without the auto compression release for 5000+kms,

and rcently the bike ran out of oil when I installed a worn big bore. Also one of the intake manifold bolts fell out so there was an air leak on the intake,but I noticed later the same day.

So do I continue with the worn shafts or get new ones?
