Quick Ring Question

Which is top and second ring? Is the copper one with the "N" the top ring and the black thicker one without writting the second one?

The key is the word "thicker". That one will only fit in one place. When pushed into the ring groove as deep as they will go, both rings should look the same as far as how near flush with the piston they are. In '09 and earlier models you can usually only put the second ring in the second groove anyway, because it's too tall to fit in the top groove.

If they were both identical in size and profile, it would typically be the copper colored or gray edged ring in the top, and the black edged ring in groove 2.

Thankyou! That makes sense once you go to put the rings on the piston.
