Tank Insert Spinning

Was hoping someone has had the same problem and had some tips for fixing. I bought the bike used and one of the shroud screws was way too tight. When I tried to take the shroud screw out bad things happend.

Try the Hughster fix.

a) thread long bolt into offending insery

:) heat LIGHTLY the blot head. Heat will creep down and heat the insert a bit.

c) use ski base repair candle, light it and drip around the brass insert. When melted the P-tex candle is very liquid and should flow into any crevises around the insert. This material remains somewhat plyable and is gas resistant. Hope this helps.
