This is a basic copy from the 450 forum but thought it would be useful to us. Please post your jetting specs. Sunruh, can you make this a sticky?

I ordered one of these last week and had a chance to try it on Sat. I bought it from JD jetting. It arrived so quickly that the little package in the mailbox took me by surprise....two days. http://www.jdjetting.com/
First of all, I noticed the airscrew being much easier to dial in. Before it took a great deal of concentration to find the point where the idle was just right. This was with any pilot jet I tried between 40 and 50. It could be done, but only within a half turn or so. Now, its pinpoint accurate.
Low end throttle response is much smoother....not weaker, but that transition from slide/pilot to needle is way better. After that, there is not much effect, nor shoudl there be, but the low end response is worth the price of buying one or cutting the stock 7.
This is with the 295 kit, but I noticed the same airscrew difficulty with the stock bike. Not sure how this slide works at lower elevations, but is almost a must have at anything like I ride at (4500).
I see there was a thread like this, but it hasn't had a new post in almost 2 years, so lets see if this one has better luck.
I picked up my '03 WR on Friday
Took it out for its first ride on Sunday along with my buddy with a yz400. The day went well and so far there isn't really anything obvious that needs to be changed.
Today I flushed the old coolant for some engine ice.
Also I adjusted the rear brake lever down and removed the odometer/cable also since it is broken. I'll pick up an hour meter before the next ride and the yz parts to eliminate the speedo drive.
I have an 05 crf450 and lately it has been backfireing ALOT and now recently it wont start, or takes 50+ kicks to start. >.<
I will be buying new Valves, intake and exhaust , w/ seats and springs.
I just was wondering if there is any combination people would reccomend or usually use, I want to replace em all in one just to get it out of the way.
I am told of Kibblewhite SS Vavles are good, but does that count for Intake and Exhaust? And what about springs/seats to go with em?
Also, I will be doing my jetting and going with a JD jetting kit. Is this something you would use/recommend?

I recently purchased a 2000 KTM300 exc. It seems to run rich, with lots of spooge and smoke, which expect a little, its a 2 stroke. The was originally from Oklahoma, where it was purchased new. Anyway I live near Fresno Ca., but do all my riding in the mountains and desert. I pulled the carb off and the MJ is 160, the PJ 40, and the needle is NOZI. BTW the bike has vforce 3 reeds and an FMF Gnarly pipe. Thinking about dropping a 170 MJ and a 45 PJ but I'm thinking this is just gonna make it run richer. Suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
