Hot Start Cable Re-routing

3 posts in this topic

I just got my moose-ex pull clutch lever and installed it and the lever works great. I am however do not like that the hot start is on the bottom. The cable does not come into the perch straight because of my bar pad. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to position the cable to fit better?

While it may not come in perfectly straight, if the lever isn't binding when pushed in or going back to rest (should have a little play AFTER you move the handlebars back and forth after pushing it in) then it doesn't matter. If that doesn't work, you can always purchase a hot start lever for the brake side.

That is a good idea about putting the hot start on the brake side. Thanks I was at my dads and worked on my bike today and got it to fit.
