13 posts in this topic

There 3 pit bikes for sale in my area which one do you think i should get and why. Stock 2003 klx110 $700 , 2001 xr 70 $800 with 90cc pister pro 4 speed semi auto motor and big bars heavy springs and rear shock and foot pegs, or a 2006 crf50 $700 with supermoto tires pro taper triple clamp and big bars bbr rev box and skid plate?

Idk if i should get the 50 or get a little bit bigger of pitbike im totally confused which one should i get.

whats the advantage between 110s and like 50s speed power and size wise will the 50 be boring

Some guys love 50s and they rock , just more options with 110s right now and its an easy pit bike to get started into the sport on

im a honda fan, so i would get a honda. personally, i would hunt down an xr100 or 80. much better suspension and motor then the 50/ 70. the 80 is the first "real" bike in the honda line. iv got a 100, and it is a little down on power, but it never gets old. its so fun to just rip around on and learn to wheelie.

i would go with the 50, there are some many options for parts especially used ones as the pitbike market had died off compared to how it used to be.

that and a crf50 is the originall pit bike. you can have a nice stock/mod 50 for pretty cheap and so much fun bashing around with your buddies.

yea, i had a 50 once, it was fun, but just toooo small. it only has 3 speeds, no clutch, microscopic tires that dont roll over any obstacles, cant wheelie very easy compared to larger bike, slow, barely any power, forks that dont even have damping,......

if your gonna spend the cash, at least get a bike that is big enough that a newborn cant ride on it.

just my opinion tho :bonk:

everything you just described is what apit bike is!

if you cant wheelie, ride fast and jump a 50, its not the bike!

The klx would be the best choice especially if you are new to the pit bike scene. It also takes much less to make a klx ridable than to make a 50 ridable.
