Anyone know where to ride near Vegas?

I'm going to Vegas in a couple of weeks and I'm looking for a place close by to do some riding. Anyone know of a place that is within an hour that has some trails, hills, etc? I'm always looking for new places and varied terrain. Let me know. Thanks

When your coming in on I-15 and you come over the last hill just before you get to the big race track, look to the left they have a giant riding area that looks really good.

Are you talking about Apex? That's when you are coming from north, going south on the I-15, right? Yea, there's tons of trails around there. Here's some other places for you to check out:

-Find Charleston, go west on it, after the last stoplight, there is a new housing development (will be the 2nd or 3rd road to turn onto [i don't think it has a street name yet]). Turn right into there, and follow that paved road until it stops. It'll turn into dirt, and from there there's a lot of long trails that go out that way.

-On the corver of Las Vegas Blvd, and Blue Diamond (it's a few blocks south of the last casino on the strip) there's is a large pad of land that's got some jumps, and some trails on it. You won't miss it, it's the only piece of land that's not developed in that immediate area. But it sounds like you want some good long trails, so that may not be the best if you are looking to put some serious mileage on your bike.

-The south west area of Las Vegas has a good opening out into the desert, and you can really put some serious mileage on your bike. There are easy maintenance roads that you can follow, but if you want to get more challenging, you can find more difficult trails that are west of it. I have some really great spots of varied terrain and scenery. What dates will you be in town? If you're looking for people to ride with or just need some directions I am sure I can set you up with something.
