Swapping 2007 WR450 forks

4 posts in this topic

Which year of the YZ450 forks and triple clamp fit the 2007 WR450?? Thx

Every year fits in the clamps. It's the caliper and wheel that don't fit every year.

You need the 'wide-spaced' caliper offset, and standard wheel spacers, which came on the 2007 and before YZ's. The 2007 year is the best (called SSS), because it was the last year of development for those forks before they changed to the lighter version. 2006 is almost the same. 2005 is a ASS fork, which while better than the WR forks, were only made for one year.

YZ250 and YZ125 have the exact same fork on certain years, but different valving and spring rates.

The 2008 will fit only if you use a YZ wheel, caliper, and spacers, or modify the caliper and spacers from the WR.
