I still think this one is pretty cool .

If I was to redo my 2011 I think I would go in this direction and only hope it turned out half as nice. I absolutely love that look!

Fresh off the press!!

Yeah, wouldn't it be easier to just buy a new YZ450F and have a custom wide ratio gearset machined and install that rather than take the electric start, headlight and kickstand off a WR?

I sold my 07 WR450F, just finished with my 07 YZ450FW conversion.. LOVE IT

The key to the whole project.. the WR 1st-5th gears and lighting stator. A lot of work, but well worth it. WAY lighter than my old WR450F.. better suspension, and more power too.

See sig for details. Note the location of the voltage regulator and the ignition coil.

Front brake like should be routed to the inside of the forks for protection.

Can you guys help? My wr250f is showing 199kmh when the bike is running and not moving at all and when your ride is varies up and down. It is an 06 model. I was watching my km/miles go up when I am not moving. Every ten secs it would move up a km on the trip meter. (Digital speedo)

Front brake like should be routed to the inside of the forks for protection.

Good eye.  I'll put it on the inside when I put my Tusk fork socks on.  Thanks!

No, yours is fine, I was quoting MLCG.

First post here on tt. Picked this up Saturday. Lots of upgrades, I think my favorite is the quick shift. Much more fun than my Drz.

pardon my ignorance, please explain the quick shift, I can see from the pics it's attached to the gear lever, but I am interested in a more tech/performance stance, cheers Andy.

The sensor that is connected to the shift lever senses pressure and when it does it cuts the ignition for a split second via power commander. In doing that you don't need to use the clutch or even let off the throttle. When you quick shift like that it shifts right fing now, its so quick is stupid. Not harsh either, real smooth.

A dirty bike is a happy bike...
