2001 yz 426 FOR SALE

My local dealer has one 01 426 left they want 6488 out the door 5999 plus dealer costs. I tried aleks powersports like was recommended on this board, but they are all out of 2001 model bikes except for one yz250 that they want 5000 for. I would really like to get a 01 426 but I want it for under 5500 out the door. Does anybody know any leads? I would also be interested in the wr426.

When I called the # at the top of this thread, I made an offer that I thought was fairly reasonable yet left me enuf room to negotiate a couple of bucks. $4800

I planned on paying 4900-5000 in reality.

BUT

When I called and he wanted FULL retail and gave me the ONLY one on the WEST coast story.......I was fuming.

I explained that I didn't live near SFO and had to ship it anyway so maybe he should give me and reason ($$$) to buy from him instead of someone in Oklahoma for $5000 and $200 shipping.

He gave me the TYPICAL DEALER profit based salary SALESMAN attitude.

Go ahead and go somewhere else!!!!! BFD!

Then there was the DO NOT LISTEN thing too.

If the guy can't even write my area code down right why would he listen to me when I called to inquire about a warranty problem in the future???!

Not to mention RUDE

He acted like it was my fault that he wrote down the WRONG #.

Take your business elsewhere.

Why would anyone pay full retail for an 01' in July when the 02's will be here in a month and the same basic price?

So let me get this straight. Youve all heard about 01 426s for cheap, but nobody has a dealer name or phone number. Hmmm very interesting. :)
