Been trying to buy a new YZ 450 (2011) bike since March at my dealer. He was told they are SPARSE and he only got 2 for this year. He has been looking at auctions and the warehouse, and none available on the east coast for months. He hasn't had one since February this year. Plenty of 250's , but no 450's. Make a long story short. I am looking at a buddies picture of his bike that he sent me (a 2010 YZ 450, which I have one of) and ask Ron what it's worth this morning, since this guy is selling it. Ron said that he just got a hold of 15 new YZ's for a crazy price just yesterday, but doesn't have them yet. He was kinda fuming when he said that, cause he has been told there are none by his rep all year, then yesterday they mysteriousness have boat loads now ( I live in PA, may be different in Ca). He was waiting for me to come in, since he knew that I had to finish up the new HVAC system that we installed. What the heck? That many dealers going under or canceling the remaining orders or what? Anyone else found this out to be true, or is it just my area, cause around here there was no YZ 450's for sale since March! I can get a brand new 2011 for 1300 more than the guy selling his used 2010, and he lives 300 miles away. Kinda no brainer on what to do , but what do you guys think? What do you think of Yamaha not having any bikes and then WHAM! Right before the 2012's get released they have bunches and bunches of 2011's?
