2009 YZ450F, When doing a top end, do you guys replace head bolts, too?

Also this is second top end and I did not replace them the first time.

You aske this question then, too, didn't you? I probably wouldn't, but it might be a good idea, all the same.

How many hours do you have on your '09, what are your intervals for replacing the top end ? What do you use your bike for, MX, enduro ?

Just wondering what other guys are doing...

did my first top end 55 hrs, second 80hrs, bike has total of 135hrs.

I ride MX only and i like to keep it in high RPMs rather than log it, better response I think.

When I opened it for my second top end, it actually looked really well, all it needed, was to adjust intake valves, but I thought since I have to get the cam chain off and I do have 80hrs since last top end, why not take it all apart and do second top end.

If you SNAP one off...replace it...........J/kidding

You dont need to replace your head bolts....I would be more concerned about the cam chain.

Sure, it only make sense to replace the cam chain, only 20 bucks more for chain plus 10 buck for the gasket.

Bike runs great now.
