Question on Jay Marmont map

8 posts in this topic

Getting ready to pick up an 11, and had a question about the map. I haven't bought or used the tuner yet, so sorry if this question doesn't make sense or is obvious to those that have.

Race Map (Jay Marmont)

TP FI

4/4 -1 +3 -2

1/2 +3 +4 -3

1/4 -2 -3 -2

TP IG

4/4 +2 +2 +2

1/2 +2 +4 +2

1/4 +2 +4 +4

Very aggressive map. Also suits the DRD pipe also.

I ass-u-me that I can disregard the TP settings, and just enter the numbers? I believe the increments are 1/8/ 3/8 and 6/8 for the tuner, not 1/4, 1/2 and 4/4. I assume that I just enter the numbers and don't worry about converting the numbers to the correct ratios?

Can't wait to get and ride the new bike!

from what I hear the marmont map was made for use with the stock exhaust , anyone with aftermarket exhaust richened the FI up? I am debating doing this on the high revs and full throttle and maybe half throttle.

The notes in the sticky says it suits DRD pipe well. Adding exaust doesn't require additional fuel as it does sometimes with a carbed bike. I have been running mostly woods map and slapped on a Q4 with SA in and it made the woods map feel like a race map. Had to change it to broad powerband map. I'd have to look again to see what the fuel trims are on those maps, I forget.

I am currently riding with the Marmont map with aftermarket exhaust and haven't changed a thing on the map. Works great !

I was going to take the liberty of testing out a couple minor changes, but then it was raining when I got off work.
